Connect your server

Run Relay on Ubuntu, then enter its address. Everyone who can reach the server can use the dashboard without a key.

On Ubuntu itself, use http://localhost:3000. A hosted page needs an HTTPS server address and an allowed origin.
RUN IT ON UBUNTU

Your server, in a few steps.

The hosted interface is ready. Actual BitTorrent transfers run on your Ubuntu machine using qBittorrent.

  1. Download and unzip the server

Includes the app, installation script, and a complete README.

    Download Ubuntu package ↙
  2. Install and start
    cd relay-ubuntu
    bash setup-ubuntu.sh
    npm start

The installer uses apt and sudo to install qBittorrent and Node.js if needed. Node.js 20 or newer is required.

  3. Open your public workspace

Visit http://YOUR_VPS_IP:3000. The dashboard connects automatically. No access key or login is needed. Allow TCP port 3000 in your VPS firewall.

Connecting from this hosted page? Expose the Ubuntu app through HTTPS, and set ALLOWED_ORIGINS to this page’s origin. Full reverse-proxy and systemd examples are in the README. Download links expire after 24 hours.
